📝 Exam Pattern (Mains)

The Mains exam is a Descriptive Written Format consisting of two papers, totaling 200 marks.

Paper 1: Language Proficiency (100 Marks)

  • Medium: Based on the medium chosen for the Prelims (Gujarati/Hindi/English).

  • Duration: 150 Minutes.

  • Content:

    • Essay Writing: (20 Marks) ~ 250-300 words.

    • Letter/Application Writing: (10 Marks).

    • Report Writing: (20 Marks) ~ 200 words.

    • Precis Writing / Summary: (10 Marks).

  • Qualifying for Mains: Only candidates who score the cut-off marks in the Preliminary exam (typically 35% or 70/200 marks) are eligible to appear for the Mains.

  • Final Selection Criteria:

    • General Category: Minimum 60% in Mains.

    • SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PH: Minimum 55% in Mains.
